Ever had a cake disaster in the car or been stressing the entire drive either with it in a passengers lap or on the seat đÂ
Or do you wonder where the best spot for your cakes, tiramisu or food is in the car?Â
The floor! Yes i know sounds odd saying put your food on the floor but its a flat surface and the best place for your cake.Â
Where as the seat has a slight tilt in it and so easy for them to fall over or spill out the side. And also we don't want our baked goodies on even the smallest of angles because it could potentially ruin your dish. Not to mention it can go flying if you have to slam on the breaks on the seat more so than the floor.Â
This is how I used to transport all my cakes when I had my cake business all the time. I didn't use any fancy tools etc I literally had them in a cake box on the floor.Â
If my cake was smaller or there is lots of room around my tray of Tiramisu I would roll up tea towels to place around the side, just make sure it doesn't touch the cake. This way there is less room for it to move.Â
Another tip if you are transporting a cake, put it in a cake box or container the right size. If you use a cake box that is say 10 inches and have a 6 inch cake the cake is going to be rolling back & forth and side to side for your trip and potentially get ruined so making sure its not squashed but sitting nicely in a box.Â
Obviously this only works if you donât have a car of passengers no ones wants feet in their cake đđ
.
But it really does make it so much easier to make sure your hard work & all the baking to go to waste.Â
