What do I need to add?

All you need to add: 

100g of Treacle (yes use treacle in Aus, molasses is too strong here, and you can use Golden Syrup if you don't have treacle)

70g Unsalted Butter at room temp 

2 Large Egg yolks at room temp 

1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence 

Do I need a stand mixer?

You can use either a stand mixer or hand held mixer for these
