Halloween Ghost Shortbread Cookies No Cookie Cutter

Halloween Ghost Shortbread Cookies No Cookie Cutter

Sometimes you may want a particular shape for your cookies but you don't have a cookie cutter to make it, well here is our simple trick to make Halloween Ghost Shortbread Cookies without a cookie cutter.

And look how cute they turned out. You could even make this with different shapes and sizes of ghost to make a little ghost family.

You can check out the reel on how to make these by clicking here as well so you can watch how it's made.

I also used our Cinnamon Shortbread for this one which is back for the Holiday Season

How to make them:
👻 Make your @bakeitbygiovannellis Shortbread Baking Mix as per the instructions and while its chilling in the fridge cut your ghost out
👻 Draw a ghost on a piece or paper I did a simple shape with a wavy edge at the bottom but you can do it straight too. Mine was about 6.5cm long and 4cm wide but I didn’t measure I just drew. But you can also get a image from google and print that out as well. Then cut out your ghost shapes.
👻 Once your shortbread has had it's chill out time in the fridge as per the instructions. Pop the cut out on top of the shortbread, I press the paper lightly on top to make it flat on the shortbread and cut all around the edges with a flat edge knife, we don't want a serrated knife to cut these out. I use a sharp pointed flat edge knife for this.
👻 If you find your edge is wonky etc just shape it a little bit with your finger to put it back in place but it also doesn't need to be perfect.
👻 Now pop them on the baking tray & repeat till you are all done
👻 Add the 2 choc chip eyes & use a small round end to make the mouth I used the end of a whisk, but you can use anything with a rounded end. Push it lightly into the dough to make the indentation of a mouth
👻 Bake away for about 6-8 mins depending on the size and that's it! If you find the mouth not as indented as you want once they come out are hot use the same tool as before to push in slightly

Let me know if you have any questions and happy baking

Love Ash
